Love 30/30 Challenge

Hello friends, it has been too long.

The next 30 days I have decided to take the Love30/30 challenge that I learned about at Passion City Church this past Sunday. I think one of the most difficult things for me as a believer is remembering how loved I am as the daughter of a king. The goal of uncovering each specific scripture during the next 30 days is to receive it, reflect in it and share it.

I have already gotten myself off to a fabulous start of missing day 1... so here we have Day 1 and Day 2.

Day 1: Ephesians 1:3-6 (The Message)

How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He's the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son.

Celebrating lavish gift-giving = COOL!

Day 2: Psalm 139:13-15 (The Message)

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb. I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.

Going from nothing to something = how lucky are we that the king of the universe is the one that chose to make us into something.

Just as important as receiving and believing the scripture is reflecting Jesus' love in a tangible way. My goal after the next 28 days is to walk away from this challenge living with a much clearer view of my identity in Jesus and a life centered around love as a verb.
