I had such an exciting weekend!!!
It all started with visiting my prince charming and the pups he was petsitting! We got to drink hot tea and play fetch.
After some hang time with my main squeeze, I headed to the Stinehour's to visit my nurse BFF Karla. As Karla prepares to move to Kenya to do Medical Missions for 6 months, we decided to spend the weekend honoring our lady liberty and doing American things!
American things like coordinating outfits so we are Red, White, and Blue just because Karla asked us to...
American things like hunting with an air-soft gun... day or night.

and going to an all American Mexican Restaurant... Tin Lizzy's!
Drinking Pomegranate Margaritas and gathering up a few Sid Bream Slides Bobblehead dolls...
And watching the Bravos beat the Blue Jays
The most important American thing to do was end the day with cartons of ice cream and candy. A surprise calorie attack thanks to Geoff!
Although my heart hurts knowing Karla and I will be on separate continents for a few months, I am thankful for our All American weekend together!
I also got to enjoy the incredible Bon Iver concert with a sweet friend.
We kept tapping each other on the shoulder just to make eye contact with our jaw dropped smiles and say "oh my gosh!" or "is this real life" The concert was incredible! If you ever get the opportunity to see Bon Iver live, don't pass it up.
After my weekend in Atlanta with some of the people most dear to my heart, it was time to venture back to good ole Milledgeville. My mom was worried about me driving in the storms on Sunday night so we decided that I would wake up really early on Monday morning and drive back in time for my 8am class. Although I wasn't looking forward to an early morning, I was excited because I would get to see the sunrise on the lake on my way into town!
Leaving Atlanta at 5am this morning left me in darkness for majority of my ride. I was forced to spend an hour and a half of my drive using my super vision skills to navigate the dark roads in torrential downpour. I let go of my hopes of seeing a beautiful sunrise.
However, by the time I got closer to Milledgeville, there was finally a break in the clouds and I got to see the sun peeking through. The window of time with out rain and dark clouds only lasted for about five-minutes and it was the five-minute stretch when I was driving over the lake!!! This picture doesn't do it justice, but I got a beautiful present at 6:45 this morning when Jesus moved some clouds around to remind me how much he loves me.
PS - Motown Radio on Pandora is the best thing that will ever happen to you. Thanks Kar!
